Virginia Lorene Hopson, 85, of Nauvoo, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church, with funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Kenny Sudduth will officiate.
Mrs. Hopson was preceded in death by her father, Noah Trimble; mother, Lois Trimble; sister, Jeanette Romine; son, Pug Nelson; husband, Joseph Lavell "Buddy" Nelson; husband, Aubrey T. Hopson.
She is survived by her sons, Grady Mitchell Nelson (Donna) of Natural Bridge and Aaron Anthony Hopson (Julia) of Nauvoo; sister, Louise McKleroy of Nauvoo; grandchildren, Emily and Laura Nelson.
