Two new businesses will join the Jasper family in the coming months.
TherapySouth and Great Clips have both signed leases to locate in the old Solid Image Fitness building that is being renovated on Airport Road in Jasper. Real estate firm Shannon Waltchack is leasing spaces at the property, and Shannon Waltchack Associate Broker George Elliott confirmed Friday that the two businesses had signed leases.
"Both are under construction and should be opening soon," Elliott said.
TherapySouth has 27 locations across Alabama and one in Athens, Georgia. The company provides physical therapy, surgery rehabilitation, hand therapy, dry needling, wellness foot care and other services. They also offer therapy for athletic injuries and women's health issues.
Great Clips offers hair care services for men, women and children, such as haircuts, shampoos, conditioning treatments and styling. Great Clips is a franchised company with 4,200 salons across North America and projected a 7 percent growth in the company this year.
Elliott said there is one remaining space at the property, and Shannon Waltchack has a clear vision for it.
"We still have approximately 4,300 square feet available for lease," he said. "We are working to get a restaurant in the remaining end bay. This space can also have an outdoor seating area."
WatsonBruhn General Contractors began demolition at the property in July, that included salvaging the majority of the structure and dividing it into three separate spaces. In the past week, the parking lot at the property has been removed to make way for a new parking surface.
In July, Jasper Mayor David O'Mary told the Daily Mountain Eagle, "I believe they have a very good vision for the property."
It has not been announced when the new tenants will be open for business.
