Sue Nell Hyche Knowles, 85, of Double Springs died Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Hendrix Healthcare in Double Springs.

Born Tuesday, January 5, 1937, in Double Springs, she was the daughter of the late William Clarence and Florence Hyche. Sue was a retired business owner of El Centro Motel and Gift Shop in Panama City Beach, Florida. She also spent much of her retirement working with her brother at his local business in Addison.

At the request of Ms. Knowles, there will be no formal visitation or funeral services; instead, there will be a small private gathering of immediate family only at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs.

Ms. Knowles leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Leah Knowles Cobb (Mike) of Double Springs, and Tina Knowles Klosterman (Ralph) of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Zeb Cobb (Becky), Krystal Williams (Brandon) and J. Leigh McCown (Jon); eight great-grandchildren, Caleigh Cobb, Noah Williams, Lynleigh Cobb, Colt Cobb, Mason Williams, Jon Ryker McCown, Laney Jo Cobb and BlakeLeigh McCown; two nieces, Lori Tomlinson and Shanda Hyche; three nephews, Greg McCullar, Jeff Hyche, and Jed Hyche; one sister-in-law, Hilda Hyche; and a host of other special family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbnad, Paul E. Knowles; baby, Paula Sue Knowles; brother, Tarrie Harbin Hyche; and sister, Barbara Hyche McCullar.
