Sheriff wants incentives paid for by savings in food service

Smith wants extra pay for longevity, experience and college degrees

Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith is recommending a $100,000 program of extra pay for longevity, experience and college degrees - which would be paid for by $200,000 expected to be saved by Smith taking over feeding the inmates, using a program from the Cullman County Sheriff's Office.
