Ron C. Munoz, 51, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, in Jasper after a courageous battle with COVID-19 and pneumonia.
Ron was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 14, 1969, to Maria Powell and Jose Munoz. He was raised by his parents and his stepfather, Loren Powell, deceased, later in his life. Ron was the General Manager at EBC Steel for 14 years and loved what he did.
Ron was a father, husband, son, brother and friend. Ron is survived by his wife, Ludora; his four daughters, Alexis, Taylor, Elizabeth and Grace; his two sons, Dalton and Cory; grandchildren, Ella and Serenity; mother, Maria Powell; sisters, Michelle, Honesty, and Dallas; brother, Jose; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his late wife, Jennifer; daughter, Chloe; his father, Loren Powell; and his aunts, Geri, Daisy and Anita.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ron. He was an inspiration. An example of kindness and generosity. A person who put others before himself. If the world had a fourth of his kindness, it would be almost perfect. Ron was the best dad anyone could've asked for. He welcomed anyone with a big heart and open arms. He was a truly amazing soul. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with the kids and friends, watching the K-State game, being silly and playing jokes, loving his grandbabies, and lighting up anyone's day with his smile. Whenever something bad would happen he never thought the worst of it, instead, he would say "it was a blessing in disguise." He always was such a positive person you could learn so much from. No matter the time, day or night, he would be there for anyone and everyone. He was definitely someone you could count on.
He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. There is a GoFundMe page set up to help the family with the financial hardships that are to come. Donations can be made at https://gofund.me/04fbc1bd.
