Multiple arrests made in Yerkwood

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Corrections K9 Tracking Unit and the Dora Police Department, as part of the Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force, recently executed two drug search warrants on Matthews Street in the Yerkwood/Quinton community.  Both warrants were served simultaneously by two separate raid teams.

Investigators seized heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, three handguns and over $4,000 in U.S. currency from what was described in a press release as a one-stop shop operation for drug activity.

Those arrested were as follows:

• Benny Miles Hagler IV, 27, of Quinton, was charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of Marijuana 1st, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

• Shala Quenette Casey Davis, 43, of Quinton, was charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

• Tracy Mary Bell Dobbins, 38, of Nauvoo, was charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

• Jerrell Dequan Carlisle, 25, of Quinton, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine/Meth).

• Kenya Vendale Jones Mays, 44, of Quinton, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), and Possession of Marijuana 1st.

• Stephanie Brook Brown Dickson, 35, of Quinton, was charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

• Edwin Nash, 42, of Quinton, was charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Dora Police Chief Jared Hall, a member of the Drug Task Force and also a WCSO deputy, led the investigations that resulted in the Yerkwood arrests.
