Mildred M. Blackwell, 88, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at her residence.
Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 12 until 1 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Files Cemetery on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2 p.m., Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will be directing.
Mildred was born on June 14, 1934, in Townley. She was known affectionaly as “Aunt Bill” to family and “Millie” to many of her friends. She loved being outdoors feeding and watching the humming birds. Her wisdom and knowledge will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry E. Blackwell; parents, Troy and Ola Mitchell; sister, Edith Thompson; brothers, Herbert Mitchell and Leon Mitchell.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends who loved her very much.
