John Alan Daniel, 41, passed away unexpectedly at his temporary residence in Forestville, CA December 26, 2021.
John grew up in Jasper with his parents, Lynn and Sammie Daniel and sister, Hollie. After high school, John earned his culinary diploma and began working as a chef in Birmingham. John loved to see and experience different parts of the country. He especially enjoyed traveling out west in Montana where he spent his time cooking and skiing. He also loved time closer to home, hiking in Bankhead National Forrest with his dad, and later his friends. Always close to John’s heart was time with friends and family, travel, gourmet food, the great outdoors, and his dog, Twister.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Ilell Daniel, Joe and Annie Dorough; father, Lynn Daniel; and step-father, Larry Frazier of Jasper.
He is survived by his mother, Sammie D. Frazier; sister, Hollie (Keith) Carlisle; niece and nephews; Jonah, Katherine and Ryan of Huntsville.
A memorial for John will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11 a.m.
