Jerldeen Drummond Woodley

Jerldeen Drummond Woodley, 96, daughter of the late Sidney and Willie Mae Drummond, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will be held at Boldo Memory Gardens. Elder Gary Cordes will officiate. 

 Jerldeen was a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church for 70 years. She was a homemaker and worked for several years at the old JCPenney store in downtown Jasper.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, John H. Woodley; sons-in-law, John Joseph Hart and Johnny Charles Blackwell; brother, Sidney A. Drummond Jr.; and sisters, Louise Johnson and Shirley Skaggs. 

She is survived by her daughters, Diane W. Hart (John) and Linda Blackwell (Johnny), both of Jasper; grandchildren, Valerie Pillow, Natalie Allen (Brandon) of Millington, Tennessee, Dr. Ty Blackwell (Leslie), Leigh Alexander and Todd Blackwell (Molly) Roanoke; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ripper (Chase) of Humboldt, Tennessee, Gavin Blackwell, Sydney Blackwell, Ansley Alexander, Kroy Alexander, David Loyd, Crymson Blackwell, Jordan Allen and Kade Allen; great-great-grandchild, Adalyn Ripper; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
