Jeanette Benson Banks, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the age of 79 after a long illness.
Jeanette was a proud mother of three children. As her oldest son went off to college, she decided it was time for her to also go to college. Jeanette received her nursing degree in her early 40s, and worked at Jasper’s AfterHours Clinic for more than 10 years.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Benson, and mother, Marie Hayes Benson; and her sisters, Marie Gregory and Pauline Hickman.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Kenneth Banks; and three children, Kevin Banks (Ramona), Kent Banks and Kimberly Wilcox (Jimmy); four grandchildren, Kristina Howard (John), Kyle Banks (Amanda), Keelan Banks (Anna) and Kipling Banks; and four great-grandchildren.
Her Celebration of Life service will be a private ceremony for family members.
