James Douglas Motte, 80, of Bremen, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at his residence.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Bell Sumiton Chapel. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Louammer Motte; three brothers; two sisters; son, Dewayne Motte; daughter, Debra O’Bryant; grandson, Charles Madison; and son-in-law, Greg Payne.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Ann Motte; children, Jason Motte (Angela), Sheila Payne, Larry Tuggle (Kim) and Carla Faith Motte; sister, Zella Barnett (Wayne); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
