James David Byrd, 68, of Parrish, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Grandview Medical Center in Hoover.
Mr. Byrd was born in Jasper in 1951. He graduated from Walker High School. He worked for American Cast Iron Pipe (Acipco) in Birmingham for 33 years as an electrician. He loved watching old movies and sports on TV. He married Robin King, with whom he shared 41 years together.
Viewing time at Collins-Burke Funeral Home will be Monday, July 13, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A graveside service and interment will be held directly after viewing at 1:30 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Ricky Farley will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Byrd; mother, Audrey Byrd Hill; brothers, Virgil Lee Byrd and Billie Hugh Byrd; and all his grandparents, uncles and aunts.
He is survived by his wife, Robin King Byrd. He is also survived by two nieces, four nephews and a number of cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
