Jacob "Jake" Davidson, 30, of Valley, passed away Sunday May 8, 2022.
Jake was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Davidson; pawpaw, Jerry Barger and pawpaw, Charles Ray Davidson; father-in-law, Danny Bankston; and granny, Annette Bankston.
Jake was born and raised in Parrish, where he went to school, played football and met his high school sweetheart, Savannah. They were married in 2012, moved to Valley to further Jake's career at Kia and grew their family in 2015. Jake was a man who loved the Lord, his family, and friends. He never turned down the chance to make sure Savannah knew that she was his everything. He liked to spend his time giving back to his community by helping coach his son and other children in basketball, baseball and football. Jake loved his little man Cranston and was over the moon to be growing their family again with his princess Oaklynn Jayke. He was an avid Auburn fan and didn't miss a chance to give anybody a strong War Eagle. Jake was a member of Valley Baptist Church and lived his life serving the Lord daily.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Pleasantfield Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Pleasantfield Cemetery. The Rev. Nathan Lawrence will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Savannah Davidson; son, Jarred Cranston Davidson; unborn daughter, Oaklynn Jayke Davidson; mother, Angela Robinson; stepfather, Melvin Robinson; brother, Justin Davidson (Katie); stepsister, Tiffney Edwards (Drew); stepsister, Ashley McCoy (Daniel); stepbrother, Anthony Robinson (Amanda), mother-in-law, Tracy Bankston; sister-in-law, Heather Jones (Matt), sister-in-law, Lynsey Costin (Nick), sister-in-law; Candace Bankston; nanny, Linda Barger; grandma, Rosa Pennington; nanny, JoAnn Lollar; pawpaw, Vernon Bankston; mawmaw, Faye Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers may be sent to Collins Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Jake’s family would like to thank everyone again for all of the love, kind words, and prayers that have been shown to the family during this difficult time.
