Ivey, officials celebrate Charter expansion in Walker County

Federal, state programs will help take broadband to 6,500 local sites

Gov. Kay Ivey came to downtown Nauvoo on Monday to celebrate that Charter Communications, through its Spectrum brand, will be using federal and state monies to expand fiber optic broadband service in Nauvoo and Oakman, serving a total of 6,500 locations.
