Hot Springs National Park celebrates centennial

Posted 7/24/21

Hot Springs National Park, which bills itself as "The American Spa," turns 100 years old this year. Located in Arkansas,  the 47 springs that come from the base of Hot Springs Mountain are the only federal controlled hot springs in the United States to be managed for both public health and consumptive use.  Visitors can soak in the thermal waters on Bathhouse Row or bottle it at one of several fountains located around the downtown area. Besides being famous for the springs, Hot Springs is also the birthplace of spring training and has its own Historic Baseball Trail.
