Helen S. Moss, 85, a resident of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Helen was born March 20, 1936.
Helen graduated from Corner High School, were she enjoyed her time there as a majorette. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and devoted her life to taking care of her family. She also enjoyed her flowers and spending time with nature.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Manley and Reba Sullivan; four sisters, Evelyn Franklin, Frances Robbins, Jimmie Johnson, and Pat Sullivan; and one grandson, Kenneth Moss.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Johnny Ray Moss; two sons, Geral Moss Sr. and John Moss; two daughters, Karen Reneau (William) and Sherry Hartley (Mark); grandchildren, Robin Buckalew (Jason), Laura Southard (Joe), Jonathan Reneau, Geral Moss, Jr., Savannah Campbell, and Alexander Campbell; great-grandchildren, Whitley Southard, Ethan Buckalew, Lucas Southard, Khloe Buckalew, Dalton Southard, and Kaitlyn Southard; and many others family members and friends.
A celebration of life visitation for Helen was held Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale. A celebration of life service was held Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 2 p.m., followed by burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
