Cedar Creek Church of Christ located at 6309 Tutwiler Road in Oakman will be hosting its 10th Annual "Stimulus Package for the Soul" on today, Aug. 4, in an effort to encourage young men to speak publicly and study God's word. The Church at Beech Grove at 347 Beech Grove Rd. in Townley will host a singing the first today of each month at 6 p.m., featuring special guest singers, the Busby Family from Corona. Maranatha Baptist Church at 1701 Barker St. in Jasper will have its Soup Kitchen open each Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. each day. The church will offer a free full-meal to those in need.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 801 The Trace in Jasper will host a Caregivers Support Group meeting each Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the library at the church. This group is open to the community and is for people who provide care to loved ones dealing with chronic illness.

Northside Baptist Church of Jasper's Merry Hearts Senior Group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the church's Fellowship Hall. Lunch at noon. Special guest speaker for August will be Randy Pullins.

Carbon Hill United Methodist Church at 178 Northwest 4th Ave. hosts a Celebrate Recovery each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Awakening Life Church on Alabama Highway 257 in Jasper holds a CelebrateLIFE recovery and restoration accountability and support group meeting each Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church.
