One person is dead after a shooting in the Boldo community Thursday night.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the incident, saying deputies responded to a call of a domestic incident at a home in Boldo around 8:30 p.m.

A woman at the home told dispatch there was a family member who shot at another family member. The sheriff’s office confirmed a suspect did fire a weapon at a family member. One of subjects is now deceased, the release from the sheriff said.

The sheriff’s office did not confirm the name of the deceased, but other reports have the coroner confirming the identity as 64-year-old Gregory Hambric.

The sheriff’s office confirmed a deputy was involved in the incident, but more details were not given. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was at the scene investigating on Friday.
