Biden may as well be a yellow dog

America is split with one half supporting Donald Trump for president and the other half voting against Donald Trump. In 8th grade American History class, Mrs. Ramer taught us about ‘yellow dog Democrats.’ Do they still teach about this group of Democrats? A yellow dog Democrat would vote for a yellow dog before he or she would vote for a Republican.

Joe Biden has no record to speak of for his nearly fifty years in Washington. Mark Levin, conservative author and media host, summed up Biden’s record this way: “Is Biden running against himself? He voted for NAFTA. Now he opposes it. He voted for the Iraq war. Now he opposes it. He sponsored the 1994 crime bill. Now he opposes it. He opposed illegal immigration. Now he supports amnesty and free health care for illegal aliens.”

On the other hand, President Trump has kept his promises. David Horowitz cited a short list of Trump’s kept promises as reported by Pulitzer-winning PolitiFact in his new book, “BLITZ.” “President Trump has kept the following campaign promises: He promised to take no salary — promise kept. He promised to create a twentyfour-hour White House hotline for veterans — promise kept. He promised to slash federal regulations — promise kept. He promised to ban White House officials from ever lobbying for a foreign nation— promise kept. He promised to nominate a replacement for Antonin Scalia from a list of conservative, strict constructionist judges — promise kept.”

Horowitz continued, “Trump promised to keep the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center open — promise kept. He promised to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem — promise kept. He promised to pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord — promise kept. He promised to persuade NATO nations to contribute more for their common defense — promise kept. He promised to halt emigration to America from unstable, terrorist-ridden nations — promise kept. And on and on, one campaign promise after another, kept by President Trump and checked off by PolitiFact. This isn’t the record of someone who aspires to be a dictator; it’s the record of a democratic politician who keeps his word.”

Donald Trump was duly elected president of the United States of America November 8, 2016, and Democrats, media, and #NeverTrump critics have resisted him and his administration since November 9, 2016, to the point of President Obama weaponizing his DOJ, FBI, CIA and other departments and agencies to keep Trump from entering office, and to frustrate all policies he tried to implement. That’s some powerful resistance!

Later, Horowitz wrote, “From the outset of the campaign to resist and destroy Trump, the focus of his would-be impeachers was almost exclusively on the president’s rhetoric rather than deeds. How would one make an impeachment case over a booming economy, the lowest unemployment on record, the strengthening of NATO, the forthright support of Israel, and the defeat of the Islamic caliphate?”

In this sense, Trump may be his own worse enemy. Nevertheless, even if he remained Twitter muted, all those who hate him and his supporters would continue to rage and writhe bitterly, hurling ad hominem attacks at all on Trump’s side.

Joe Biden may as well be a yellow dog, no offense to yellow dogs everywhere. Oh! And, Trump is ending the wars and making peace deals in the Middle East. There is that too!
