American restaurant Applebee's opened its doors to the public on Monday. On Saturday, a ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the restaurant's opening. Jasper Mayor David O'Mary and other area leaders toured the restaurant and sampled its menu. Mask wear is required inside the restaurant, unless one is eating or drinking, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and staff members were busy wiping down tables and taking safety protocols. For the time being, the restaurant will be open at 50 percent capacity for indoor dining, and curbside pickup is available.
