Devils I.C.E. Robotics, a team made up of students from Bankhead Midddle and Cordova High schools, brought home several trophies from the Bevill BEST competition held in Fayette on Friday and Saturday. The team won first place in team wear, spirit and sportsmanship, web design, engineering notebook, second place in team exhibit/ interview and robot competition and third place in presentation. They also won the Best software and engineer design award and BEST award. The team will travel to Auburn University Nov. 30-Dec. 2 to compete in South’s BEST Regional Robotics Championship. Cordova has had a robotics team each year since 2012 and went to regionals for the first time in 2016.
