Senate Majority Leader Greg Reed (R-Jasper) announced Wednesday that the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) has awarded a grant of $378,605 to the Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center, a non-profit that serves children and adolescents who are the victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse or who have witnessed violent crimes. The Children’s Advocacy Center provides its services at no cost to victims or their families. more
