To celebrate the Christmas season, Thursday was Polar Express Day at Memorial Park Elementary School. Students got to wear their pajamas to school and took turns riding a train that was driven by their principal, Eric Rigsby. Other schools in Walker County have Polar Express days as well. Dora High School Beta Club students volunteered at Mission of Hope in Dora in early December. Students sorted through food that will be distributed to members of the community this holiday season.
