Early this week, Walker County and Alabama finally began to see their COVID-19 seven-day positive test percentage go down, as Friday's county rate of 34.4 percent declined to 32.7 percent, and the state rate of 43.6 percent on Friday declined to 41.1 percent.

On Friday, Walker County had 34.4 percent positive testing for COVID-19 over seven days, while the state is at 43.6 percent, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health website.
