LEGAL NOTICE
According to the Alabama Administrative Code r:290-8-9-8-(2)(h) an education agency must retain a copy of records for five (5) years after the termination of the special education program for which they were used. In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act (Public Law (95-85), notice is hereby given that MCWANE, INC, 1201 Vanderbilt Road, Birmingham, AL 35234, Telephone 205-241-4346, BURTON BEND Mine NO. 2, P-3942, will conduct blasting operations Monday through Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 p.m., during daylight hours only (sunrise to sunset). Understanding seasonal changes will determine actual a.m. and p.m. times. This is the blasting schedule except in emergency situations where rain, lightning, or other atmospheric conditions, or operator or public safety requires unscheduled detonation. Personnel will block all access roads to the blasting area ten (10) minutes prior to detonation until an all clear is determined by an authorized representative of the company. Warning signals will be as follows: Three (3) long soundings with a pause between for a warning, a five (5) minute wait, then two (2) long soundings with a pause between, then shoot, one (1) long sounding for an “all clear” signal after detonation.

Sealed bids will be received by the Director of Transportation at the office of the Alabama Department of Transportation, Montgomery, Alabama until 10:00 AM on September 24, 2021 and at that time publicly opened for constructing the Safety Improvements and Upgrade Passive Warning Devices (Advance Warning Signs, Pavement Markings and Legends, Traffic Signs, and Traffic Stripe) on various routes at various locations in the Tuscaloosa Region (Fayette Area) as indicated in the plans.
The total amount of uncompleted work under contract to a contractor must not exceed the amount of his or her qualification certificate.
The Entire Project Shall Be Completed In Seventy (70) Working Days.
A Bidding Proposal may be purchased for $5.00. Plans may be purchased for $83.00 per set.
