Buell Kimbrell, 69, went home to be with the Lord his Savior on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. After a long illness, he passed away at his residence survived by his loving family. Visitation will be today from 6-9 at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Burial will be at Liberty Church of Christ in Boldo, officiating will be Greg Tinker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judson Zweller Kimbrell and mother, Martha K. Kimbrell and sister, Jean Beasley.

He was survived by his wife of 45 years Gay Kimbrell, three sons, Tommy Kimbrell and fiancé Kay Davis, Greg Kimbrell and wife Cindy, and Patrick Kimbrell all of Jasper; one granddaughter, Patience Kimbrell and fiancé Dan Pullins of Jasper; two step-granddaughters Stephanie Charles of Birmingham and Katherine Davis of Jasper; one great-grandson, Ryder Buell Pullins of Jasper; three sisters, Susie Roberts of Jasper, Lovonn Bryant of Prattville and Shirley Butler of Jasper; one brother, Buford Kimbrell and wife Shirley of Nauvoo; and several nieces and nephews. Papaw’s little buddies Ella and Emma Hyde and a very special friend Dan and his wife Dot Fields

Pallbearers will be Tim Hyde, Robert Butler, Scott Hood, Craig Oden, Chris Finch, and Leroy Kimbrell
