Approximately 45 girls from across Walker County gathered Monday to kick off this week’s Girls of Whispering Pines Service Unit annual day camp, which is being held through Thursday at Memorial Park. The girls will learn outdoor skills and participate in games and various activities, such as archery and swimming.
