A group of area ministers will once again host Holy Week services at Jasper’s First United Methodist Church beginning Monday.

Each weekday a different area minister will present a brief message leading up to Easter weekend.

The program begins each day at 12:05 p.m. and a no-cost lunch is served at 12:30 p.m.

An offering will be taken up each day to benefit the Jasper Area Ministerial Emergency Service, which provides help to community members in need with utility bills, emergency hotel stays and other personal needs.

First United Methodist Church is located in downtown Jasper, at 1800 3rd Avenue.

Monday’s speaker will be Dr. Dennis Culbreth of Jasper’s First Baptist Church.

Tuesday, the Rev. Scott Pierce of Jasper’s First Presbyterian Church will speak.

The Rev. Anthony Gilbreath of Zion/Oakman United Methodist Church will speak on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Father Joe Lody of St. Cecelia Catholic Church will speak.

The Holy Week Services will close on Friday with First United Methodist Church’s Rev. Alan Beasley.

Music will also be provided by a different group each day.
