Thelma Dorothy Taggart, 90, of Plant City, Fla., passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Health Center of Plant City.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Guthrie Cemetery in Townley.

Taggart was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Lubbers; mother, Catherine Weber Lubbers; husband of 44 years, the Rev. Louis Ova Taggart; sons, Thomas Howard Taggart, Stephen Taggart and Dennis Gene Taggart; daughter, Dorothy Ann Lemley; son-in-law, Kenneth Dwain Lemley; brothers, Benny Lubbers, Tom Lubbers and George Lubbers; sister, Eileen Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith Carol Pope (Jimmy Earl) of Plant City, Fla., and Roslyn Alexander (Vernon) of Carbon Hill; sons, the Rev. John Taggart (Betty) of Athens and David Louis Taggart (Martha) of Plant City, Fla.; sisters, Catherine Wolke of Hamilton, Ohio, and Romilda Jacobs of Hartselle; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
