Jennifer Ann Herron and Raymond Gabriel Josof III were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church in Birmingham. Chorbishop Richard Saad officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lee Herron of Cordova. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Willie Russell and the late Pinson Russell, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Brantley Herron all of Cordova.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gabriel Josof Jr. He is the grandson of Mrs. Louise Josof and the late Raymond Josof Sr. of Birmingham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Brice Stephenson of Pinson.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless soft sweetheart crystal gown with ruched bodice, pleated waistband and satin button along zipper. The gown was overlaid by sheer beaded lace, providing an off the shoulder neckline, keyhole back and short sleeves.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Allison Herron Minor, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Gabrielle Josof Bruno and Miss Giselle Josof, sisters of the groom, and Miss April Christian, Mrs. Liza Craven Williams and Miss Ivey Edwards, all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Lucy Beasley, cousin of the groom.
Best man was the father of the groom, Raymond Gabriel Josof Jr. Groomsmen were Jonathan Brown, Shannon Fleming, Matt Charles, Adam Jones and Michael Hurst, all friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Micah Lee Minor, nephew of the bride.
Musicians included The Cahaba River Strings string quartet as well as vocalist Michael Harrison.
Following the wedding ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Harbert Center in downtown Birmingham.
After their honeymoon in Anguilla, the couple now resides in Birmingham.
Burvel and Betty Lolley of Oakman announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Jessica Lolley to Daniel Gardner, the son of Guy and Brenda Gardner of Berry.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Jeff and Pam Lolley. She is a 2009 graduate of Oakman High School and graduated from Gadsden State Community College with an associate degree in biology. She is employed with UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Malbert and Erdin Gardner, Willie Thomas Sanford and Willie Frances Sanford. He is a 2007 graduate of Berry High School and graduated from Shelton State Community College as a machinist. He is employed with B.F. Goodrich in Tuscaloosa.
The wedding will be Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. at 519 Mountain Valley Road in Oakman. In the event of inclement weather the wedding will be held at the Oakman Central Baptist Church.
No formal invitations will be sent, friends and family are welcome to attend.
