An angel took flight from earth and entered the gates of Heaven. Donald Ray Kell, 70, of Jasper, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.

Visitation was held Saturday. Funeral services will be today, Jan. 26, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Curry Cemetery. Donnie Elliott will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Kell; mother, Ruby Bates Kell; sisters, Juanita Kell and Betty Wells; mother-in-law, Ethel Hallman; fathers-in-law, Charlie (Buck) Fields and Chester Hallman.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fields Drummond Kell of Jasper; daughters, Kimberly Drummond and Vernie Zelinko; sons, Chris Kell (Shirley), Kevin Zelinko and Allen Kell; sisters, Lydia Dill (Fred), Beatrice Dodd (Dennis), Noah Ann Brown (Edward), Jeanette Rice (Mac) and Judy Robertson; brothers, Robert Kell (Lill) and Ronald Kell (Lillie); grandchildren, Laura Kell, Krysta Drummond, Jacob Haynes and Nathan Zelinko; great-grandchild, Alia Kell; mother-in-law, Eunice Fields; sisters-in-law, Charlyn Huff (Tom) and DeLaine Bridier; and 30 nieces and nephews.
