However, time is quickly ticking away and the deadline is close at hand.
This year’s trip includes an overseas visit to England, Ireland and Wales and is tentatively set for May 15-23. Bevill’s Assistant Director of Public Relations Holly Trawick is encouraging students and members of surrounding communities to participate in this nine-day excursion.
“The deadline is Feb. 8, so people still have a little time to sign up on the payment plan,” Trawick wrote in an email. “... If folks sign up after the Feb. 8 deadline, there is a $150 late enrollment fee.”
Currently, the cost for the British Isles trip is $3,333 for students and $3,543 for adults (age 30).
Monthly payment plans are available for those who are interested. A detailed itinerary with trip costs and payment plan information can be accessed at www.bscc.edu/intltravel.
Participants may also enroll online at www.efcollegestudytours.com/1392853VA or by calling 800-873-2250 and referencing tour 1392853VA.
Those who partake in the trip will enjoy visits to the following places: Shannon, Killarney, Dublin, North Wales, Holyhead, Stratford, Oxford and London. Sites include visiting the Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, Bog Village, Blarney Castle, the Rock of Cashel, Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Beaumaris or Conwy Castle, the birthplace of Shakespeare, Anne Hathaway’s cottage, Oxford University, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Hyde Park.
Getting the most bang for your buck, the cost includes roundtrip airfare from Birmingham, seven overnight stays in hotels with private bathrooms, breakfast daily and five local dinners, a full-time tour director, ground and water transportation, guided tours and admission costs for included attractions.
There is an optional two-day extension to stay in London and tour Stonehenge and the Roman Baths.
The arrangements for the trip have been made through an educational tour company called EF College Study Tours.
Discounts are available for those who have traveled with an EF Study Tour in the past. For more information about BSCC’s international travel program, contact Trawick at (205) 387-0511, ext. 5715, or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Passports also should be secured and ready far enough in advance. According to the U.S. Department of State’s website, a routine service takes approximately four to six weeks to receive a passport.
