Alton Franklin Farley, 75, of Arley, passed away on December 31, 2013 at his home.

He was born on November 13, 1938 in Jasper. He served his country in the United States Army.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 6 p.m. Brother Bobby Smith and Brother Oneal Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Thornhill Church of Christ Cemetery.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn and her husband, Phillip Wood; son, Mike and his wife, Cathy Filowiat; daughter, Kathy Collins; he was Paw Paw to four grandchildren, Kenecha Collins, Jennifer Collins, Ethan Filowiat and Hannah Filowiat, and two great-grandchildren, Brayden Reed and Jayse Music; three special friends, Tommy and Arlene Beemon and Virginia Goodwin; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Carrie Campbell Farley; wife, Phyllis Hannah Farley; brothers, Arvil Dean Farley and Billy Farley; and a special niece, Lisa Steinbrecher.
