Police are searching for leads in an attempted armed robbery at the Qwik Sak at the intersection of Alabama 118 and Cordova Cutoff Road on Monday. Jasper police have released a surveillance tape of the suspect in hopes that someone will be able to identify her.

The suspect is a white female, with dirty blond or brown hair and very manicured eyebrows, according to Jasper Police Officer Chris Robinson. He said at the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a light gray T-shirt, faded blue jeans, blue and white Converse-style shoes and a black hoodie. She also had a pink bandana over her face. The suspect allegedly had a pistol concealed in the hoodie and demanded the clerk give her money. The clerk refused to give the suspect any money and the suspect fled in a maroon SUV with dark windows. The suspect was last seen traveling toward Cordova on Cordova Cutoff Road just after noon on Monday.

No money was taken in the robbery and no one was injured. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity should call JPD at 221-6790.
