Pauline Della Holcomb Alexander, 83, of Carbon Hill, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at her residence.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Carbon Hill Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services were held, Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Carbon Hill Church of God of Prophecy. John Billy Butler and Ronald Richardson officiated. Burial was in the Smith Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Pallbearers were Chris Sullivan, Mark Guthrie, Hunter Smothers, Tanner Smothers, Kevin Lakey, Chandler Alexander, Steven Alexander, Brad Ford and Shane McGough.

Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Bowman Lee Alexander; father, Paul B. Holcomb; mother, Alpha E. Leonard Holcomb; and brother, Roy R. Holcomb.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Lakey (Wayne) of Lynn and Sarah Guthrie (Gary) of Nauvoo; one son, Randy Alexander of Carbon Hill; four sisters, Rachel Richardson of Carbon Hill, Ida Mensinger of Jasper, Martha Hughes (Jerry) of Townley and Ola Smoots (Greg) of Houston, Ala.; two brothers, Hoyt Holcomb (Virginia) and Gene Holcomb (Barbara); eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Holcomb of Hazel Green.
