Neill, 17, is the reigning Miss Walker County Teen USA and will compete for the state title Friday and Saturday nights. Her platform is to help teens cope with peer pressure.
At Dora High School, Neill is president of the Beta Club, vice president of the SGA and treasurer of the senior class. She is also an active member of the Anchor Club, Key Club, Blossoming Ladies, Diamond Dolls and other clubs.
She is also a junior ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County.
In her spare time, Neill enjoys going to the gym, participating in pageants, helping with the children at daycare and volunteering her time at Mission of Hope in Dora.
She has been taking dance lessons at Showstoppers Dance Company for the past 16 years.
After graduating from high school, Neill plans to attend the University of North Alabama to pursue a degree in nursing.
While in Montgomery, Neill will compete in the swimsuit, interview and opening number portions of the Miss Alabama Teen USA pageant.
Neill said she’s grateful for her sponsors and everyone who helped her prepare for the state pageant.
“It will be an experience I’ll never forget,” she said.
