Scott Leeth White, 87, of Arley, entered into rest on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

White was born on Feb. 9, 1926, in Moreland, Ala. He was a member of Meek Baptist Church for 53 years and served for many years as deacon. He retired from the Alabama Highway Department, where he held many positions, including everything from heavy equipment operator to superintendent.

Visitation will be held today, Oct. 24, 2013, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Meek Baptist Church in Arley, where services will be held at 6 p.m. The Rev. Etsel Riddle and the Rev. Thomas Hyche will officiate. Burial will be in Meek Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Rick White; daughters, Becky Wilson, Vicky Deaver and her husband, Randall. He was Paw Paw and Pa Scott to six grandchildren,Victor Wilson, Brookie Harbison, Josh Wilson, Tommy Deaver, Andy Deaver and Angela Rogers; 10 great-grandchildren, Dailey Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Eli Wilson, Emma Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Paul Wilson, Cameron Deaver, Truitt Harbison, Brooklyn Deaver, and Gavin Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Smith White; parents, William and Jesse White; brothers, Louis White, Ervin White, Allen White, Elder White, and Wilson White; sisters, Savannah Walker Collins, Levis Williams Wilkins, Cora Shipman, Emma Rivers, and Elda Lee; and son-in-law, Paul Wilson.
