ARLEY — Meek ended its five-game losing streak in a big way Friday night, blasting Southeastern 36-13 at Meek Field.

The Tigers, who had given up 40 or more points in each of their last three games, jumped on top of the Mustangs early and pulled away for the victory despite turning the ball over six times on the night.

Shades Mountain Christian, in its second year in the AHSAA, is now 1-15 all-time heading into next week’s home game vs. Sumiton Christian.

For Meek (2-6, 1-5), playing its final home game of the season, Ty Griffith, Bailey Heath, Scott Irving and Zac Roberts scored touchdowns against the over-matched Mustangs.  Defensively, Dalton Sparks added an interception for the Tigers, who hit the road for their final two games at Shades Mountain Christian and Lynn.
