Jerry Wayne Bean (June 10, 1947-Sept. 28, 2013) of Jasper, went to be with the Lord at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2013. He was 66. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his son, Marty Wayne Bean; and his parents, Vestel Bud Bean and Mae Bean.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his sister, Judy Parker and her husband Jim; two daughters, Mandy Jones and her husband Allen, and Melanie Lapkovitch and her husband Chris; two grandchildren, Emma Claire Jones and Matthew Lapkovitch; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was a member of Sumiton Church of God. Jerry was a godly man who has touched many lives with his generous nature and caring heart. He was in the car business in Jasper for many years.

Funeral services will be held at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home today, Oct. 1, 2013, with visitation from 11:30 until 1 p.m. and the funeral service at 1 p.m. with burial in Walker Memory Gardens. Allen Jones, Chris Lapkovitch, Scottie Hawkins, Randy Hawkins, Wayne Bice, Lavon Light, Jerry Light and Kenneth Boyd will serve as pallbearers. Pastor Martin Taylor will officiate.
