The restaurant, owned and operated by Richard ‘Bull’ Corry, was among more than 90 restaurants across the state that were entered into the contest earlier this year.
Voters helped The Bull Pen advance to the ‘Fiery Four,’ but now it will be up to anonymous judges who will visit the last four restaurants to determine a winner.
Also advancing to the ‘Fiery Four’ were the Brandin’ Iron Steakhouse in Cullman, Diamond Jim’s and Mrs. Donna’s in Livingston, and FIRE Steakhouse in Atmore.
In the final round of the competition, each judge will eat their choice of steak cut and judge it on the following criteria: overall flavor, tenderness and juiciness.
Once all the judging is complete, the winner will be announced in October.
