Thomas Wintford Bolton, 75, of Sumiton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013. He was born on Sept. 3, 1937, in Goodsprings. He was a member of Argo Church of God and was a retired coal miner.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ricky Adams, the Rev. Ben McLain and Jonathan Henderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas Bolton and Jalie Key Bolton; brother, Paul Bolton; and sister, Birdie Bolton Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lucille Rhodes Bolton; daughter, Sherry Adams (Rev. Ricky) of Sumiton; sons, Larry W. Bolton (Rhonda) of Jasper and Tommy Bolton (Renita) of Dora; grandchildren, Amy Bolton McLain (Ben) of Louisville, Ky., Amber Bolton of Jasper, Kyle Bolton (Megan) of Jasper, Anieca Lawrence (fiance’ Jonathan Henderson), Charlianne Lawrence and Ryan Adams, all of Sumiton; great-grandchildren, J.T. and Abagail McLain, and Samuel and Briley Adams; sister, Melba Crump of Parrish; brother, Rev. Raymond Bolton of Goodsprings; sister-in-law, Atha Lee Bolton of Pleasantfield; and a host of other family and friends.
