She was a member of the Church of Christ. She retired from Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Corporation where she was an engineering assistant and worked on Space Shuttle rocket engines. She loved to travel and had been to 49 of the 50 states and 11 countries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Naomi Whitlock Craddock; brothers, Garred, John and Joe Craddock; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Craddock.
She is survived by her children, Joan Lynn (Ernie) Whattenbarger of Jasper and Richard (Linda) Steadman of Bay Minette; sister-in-laws, Betty Craddock of Jasper and Happie Craddock of Coal City, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Terry, Jerry, Ricky, Michelle, Jason and Rebecca; eight great-grandchildren, Jamal, Ricky III, Cheyenne, Jason Jr., Breena, Jori, Wesley and Sarah.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Saturday, 29, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Minister Jerry Childs, Elder Max Barker and Elder David Williams will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Whattenbarger, Jamal Hollingsworth, Joe Miller, Rick Steadman, Richard Steadman, Brandon Paterson and Wesley Lockhart.
