Audie Eugene Wilson, 75, of Empire, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at Brookwood Medical Center. He was a devoted member of Dilworth Church of God for over 60 years, was a retired senior engineering draftsman from the city of Birmingham, was recipient of a Special Recognition Award from the Alabama Senior Master Games, he was a state of Alabama Master Gardener, a 15 time state horseshoe champion and 10 time state checkers champion.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Dilworth Church of God. The Rev. Andy Wilson, the Rev. Roy Cordell and the Rev. Nelson Kimberly will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be today, June 5, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be remembered by his wife, Dolores Wilson; his children, Sherry Ingram (Danny) of Hueytown, Andy Wilson (Carolyn) of Empire, Tammy Pate (Larry) and Barry Wilson (Amanda) all of Dora; grandchildren, Tabitha White (Jason), Zac and Jordan Pate, Natalee, Brooks, Millicent and Case Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Camryn White; brothers, Harold Wilson (Barbara) and Carl Wilson; sister, Stella Roberts; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
