Funeral services will be at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 2 p.m., with burial in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. The Rev. John Gates and the Rev. Ed Goforth will officiate.
Visitation will be today, Jan. 31, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audie and Curtis Sandlin; sisters, Linnie Snider, Eileen Styles; and brothers, Harold, Morris and J.T. Sandlin.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Wade Sandlin; sons, Richard Sandlin (Lisa), Randal Sandlin (Lisa), and Greg Sandlin; grandchildren, Amy Black (Rich), Josh Sandlin (Misty), Trent Sandlin (Joie), Tyler Sandlin, Lauren Hudson (Jarred), Melissa Honeycutt (Andrew) and Curtis Sandlin; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Sandlin, Anna Black and Elisah Black; and sisters, Lou Carter, Shirley Williams, and Betty Riggs.
