Robert Erskine “Bob” Ferguson, was born on June 7, 1926, and passed away on Jan. 9, 2013, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was old enough to know better, too young to care. He served aboard the most famous ship to ever sail, the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (ship’s driver). He was an owner operator for Eagle Motor Lines, CEO of Southeast Tire and Recapping Company, and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Fairfield 749.

He will be remembered first and foremost for his gregarious and generous spirit, his charisma and spunk, always leaving the audience wanting more. He will be missed by all who crossed his path and for all his loved ones he promised to leave the light on.

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Saragossa Baptist Cemetery.
