She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ward; son, Dale Jones; parents, Iva Jean Tate and John Mote Jr.; and brothers, Dale Malone and Danny Mote.
She is survived by her children, Robert Brown and his wife, Cindy, John Brown and Regina Dotson and her husband, Josh; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Candi Reid and her husband, Glin, Rebebcca Postell and her husband, Jim, and Darlene Tubbs; brothers, Joe Mote and his wife, Hazel, and Jackie Malon; stepmother, Geraldine Mote; and a host of oother relatives and dear friends.
