Wanda Reeves Busby, 84, of Empire, passed away on Dec. 31, 2012, at Cordova Health Care. Wanda was a devoted member of Owens Chapel Church of God for more than 50 years. She deeply loved her church, friends and community. She was beloved to all that knew her. God couldn’t have asked for a better angel. She was sincerely loved by everyone’s life that she touched. She will be deeply missed by all her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Raymond M. Busby; parents, Tommy and Elizabeth Reeves; brothers, Herman and John Reeves; sister, Willie Clark; and brother-in-law, Raburn Sanders.

Her survivors include her sons, Ricky Busby, Frankie Busby (Cindi) of Empire; brother, Chuck Reeves (Annette); sisters, Joyce Sanders and Shelia Harding (Glen); grandchildren, Jennifer Busby Baldone (Dominic), Nick Busby, Christi Busby and Cody Busby (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Alex Black, Anna Baldone and Kaelyn Elizabeth Busby; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at New Canaan Cemetery. The Rev. T.J. Millican will officiate. Visitation will be held today, Jan. 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
