Sharon Lee “Huffy” Thomas. 54, of Corner, passed away Dec. 24, 2012, at UAB Medical Center. She was a member of Bagley Church of God and was a graduate of Corner High School, Class of 1977. Graveside service and interment will be Friday at noon at New Horizon Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Larry Gilbert will officiate. Visitation will be held today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ty Wayne Bishop; grandparents, William and Elva Bishop and Paul and Mamie Fortenberry; and special friend, Alan “Big Daddy” Murphy.

Survivors include her husband, David “Nat” Thomas of Corner; children, Eric (Jamie) Thomas of Kimberly and Natalie Thomas Self of Corner; grandchildren, Hunter and Dillon Sharp, Colton, Mason and Ty Thomas and RyLee Self; brother, Matthew (Julie) Thomas of Dora; special friends, Kenny and Patty Rhodes and Brenda McDonald; and a special friend who was closer than a sister, Christy Day.
