Monika Blackwell and Dr. Patrick Redmill were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Dyer Observatory in Brentwood, Tenn. Chloe Farkas, friend of the bride, performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Dorothy Blackwell of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Marianna Rudman, the late Wladyslaw Sztalkoper, and also the late Jack and Phyllis Blackwell.

The groom is the son of John and Bonnie Redmill of Jasper. He is the grandson of Lois Guin, the late Grady Guin, and the late Horace and Ivalee Redmill, all of Jasper.

Miss Corinne Cookson of Phoenix, Ariz., served as maid of honor. Attendants were Nina Cali of Cleveland, Ohio, Caitlin Johnson of Bowling Green, Ky., and Mary Michitsch of Richfield, Ohio.

Britton Jones of Biloxi, Miss., and Bryant Smith of Baton Rouge, La., served as best men. Groomsmen were Griff Redmill of Athens, Ala., and John Redmill of Jasper.

Flowergirls were Evelyn Blackwell of Boston, Mass., and Langley Redmill of Athens, Ala.

After a honeymoon to New Zealand and Tahiti, the couple will reside in College Station, Texas.
