Harold Steven “Steve/Teddy Bear” Wilson, 64, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham. Steve loved his family and the outdoors. He was retired from Mary Lee I coal mines and was a member of UMWA 2133. He was retired from the Walker County Board of Education.

Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. today, Nov. 27, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor prior to services. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery of Jasper. Jerome Smith will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Harold (Shug) Wilson; and mother, Irene Weldon Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Guin Wilson of Jasper; daughters Stephanie Wilson Bryant (Shawn) and Amanda “Amy” Wilson Johnson (Lee); and grandchildren, Annabel Johnson, Laney Johnson and Bret Bryant.

Pallbearers will be Bob Wilson, Darrell Waid, Rannie Blanton, John Redmil, Mike Sherer and Terry Green.
